DeFi & News Queries

Yield discovery, portfolio analysis, token comparison, and live crypto news — all through ONYX.

DeFi Yield Finder

ONYX can search for active yield opportunities across DeFi protocol aggregators. Ask where you can earn on a token and ONYX will return the top pools ranked by APY, including the protocol, chain, and total value locked.

Finding yield for a specific token

Where can I earn yield on USDC?

ONYX queries DeFi protocol aggregators and returns the top liquidity pools and yield strategies that include the specified token. Results typically include:

FieldDescription
PoolTrading pair or strategy name (e.g. USDC/ETH)
APYCurrent annualised yield percentage
TVLTotal value locked in the pool (USD)
ProtocolThe DeFi protocol offering the pool
ChainThe network where the pool exists

Finding top pools on a specific chain

Best DeFi pools on Arbitrum

Returns the highest-yield active pools on the specified network, filtered by TVL to exclude low-liquidity pools that may carry higher impermanent loss or exit risk.

APYs shown are variable and reflect live rates at the time of the query. They can change significantly within hours. These results are informational only — not financial advice, and yields are not guaranteed.

Crypto News

ONYX can pull the latest news headlines for any token or topic, sourced from aggregated crypto news APIs. Unlike a plain news search, ONYX combines the headlines with on-chain context — price movement and volume data — so you can see whether the news aligns with actual market activity.

Token-specific news

What's happening with Bitcoin?

Returns the most recent headlines related to the token, along with a brief on-chain summary showing how price and volume have moved over the same period. This helps you distinguish genuine news-driven moves from noise.

Combining news with analysis

You can follow up a news query with a deeper analysis in the same session. For example, after asking about Bitcoin news, you can ask What does the on-chain data say? and ONYX will retrieve holder activity, exchange flows, or whale movements to complement the narrative from the news.

Portfolio Analysis

Provide a wallet address and ONYX produces a structured portfolio breakdown covering allocation, estimated P&L, and risk signals.

Running a portfolio analysis

Analyze the portfolio for this wallet: [ADDRESS]

ONYX retrieves all token holdings across supported chains, estimates current values using live price data, and produces:

OutputDescription
Allocation %Each asset as a percentage of total portfolio value
Estimated P&LUnrealised gain or loss per asset based on average cost vs current price
Concentration riskFlags if a single asset or chain dominates the portfolio
DeFi exposureActive yield positions and their current value
Risk notesNotable signals — low-liquidity tokens, unlocked positions, high-risk assets

Token Comparison

ONYX can compare two tokens side by side in a single query, pulling live data for both simultaneously and presenting the results in a structured table.

Running a comparison

Compare SOL vs ETH

Returns a side-by-side table with key metrics for each token:

MetricSOLETH
PriceLive price (USD)Live price (USD)
Market capTotal market capitalisationTotal market capitalisation
24h volumeTrading volumeTrading volume
HoldersUnique address countUnique address count
30d performancePrice change %Price change %
Security scoreRisk ratingRisk rating

After the table, ONYX provides a brief comparative summary highlighting the key differences and any notable signals for either token.

Combine these query types in a single session. Ask for a yield comparison between two tokens, then follow up with news context, then drill into one wallet's DeFi exposure — ONYX tracks the conversation and keeps the context throughout.
